What are we looking for?

We're looking for a talented software engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, learning continuously, and building products that make a meaningful difference. This role is ideal for someone who has delivered multiple challenging projects, takes pride in writing thoughtful, maintainable code, and enjoys both mentoring and learning from teammates.

You'll join an engineering culture that values ownership, curiosity, collaboration, and sound technical judgment. We embrace modern engineering practices and thoughtfully adopt new technologies, including AI, to help engineers focus on solving hard problems while keeping human expertise at the center of every decision.

What technologies will you work with?

We use a mix of established and modern technologies to support a platform serving millions of users. As our products evolve, we're continually improving our architecture, modernizing portions of our codebase, and evaluating technologies that help us build secure, reliable, and scalable software.

• Backend: Linux, nginx, Laravel (PHP), MySQL, Redis
• Frontend: React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS
• Existing technologies you may encounter as we modernize the platform: Twig, Bootstrap, jQuery

We do not expect candidates to have worked with every technology in our environment. We value strong software engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems.

What will you do?

• You will develop end to end, owning features from technical design and development through deployment, monitoring, and continued improvement.
• You will write clean, secure, readable, maintainable, and scalable code.
• You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and other cross-functional partners.
• You will design, integrate, and build internal and external APIs.
• You will develop new products and features while improving and modernizing existing systems.
• You will write and optimize SQL queries and design relational database schemas.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2026 . Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
