About Faropoint

Faropoint is a vertically integrated industrial real estate investment manager focused on last-mile, small-bay warehouses across 16 US markets. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Hoboken, NJ, the Firm is an SEC-registered investment adviser with more than 120 professionals across 10 US offices and Israel. Invesco Real Estate acquired a minority position in Faropoint in 2023.

The Firm acquires sub-institutional industrial assets, brings in-place rents to market, and assembles institutional-quality portfolios of 150–250 properties per vehicle. Its capital base spans closed-end institutional funds, an industrial sale-leaseback vehicle, a fund side car, and a Core+ separately managed account. Investors include public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and wealth platforms in the US, Canada, Europe, Israel, and Asia. Proprietary technology, FarOS for deal flow and REXy for valuation, supports every stage of the investment process.

The Role

The Director of Investor Relations & Operations owns the investor experience after commitment: onboarding, capital calls, statements, tax and legal obligations, and the fund administrator relationship. The role gives the department its first senior investor operations lead in the US.

The department is building the platform to raise $2 billion a year and to service 50 institutional LPs and 750 high-net-worth investors. In 2027, it intends to raise capital for a Core+ strategy, a value-add Fund V, and additional SMAs and co-investments. Each new vehicle adds closings, side letters, capital calls, and reporting obligations. This role is accountable for meeting them on time and without error.

Responsibilities

Capital calls and distributions

  • Own the capital call and distribution cycle across all vehicles, from sources and uses through notices, funding, and reconciliation, with Fund Finance and the fund administrator.
  • Prepare and review sources and uses for closings, acquisitions, and capital calls.
  • Coordinate fund openings, subsequent closings, equalization, and finder agreements with Capital Development, Legal, and Finance.

Investor onboarding

  • Run onboarding for new commitments: subscription documents, KYC and AML, accreditation, and tax forms (W-9, W-8, FATCA, and CRS).
  • Move onboarding to a fully electronic process, with clear handoffs from Capital Development at commitment.

Tax and legal obligations

  • Track and deliver LPA and side letter obligations for every investor, including reporting rights, MFN elections, and notice requirements.
  • Coordinate K-1 delivery, withholding, and investor tax inquiries with the Director of Tax and outside advisors.
  • Partner with Legal & Compliance on investor-facing regulatory requirements and audit requests.

Fund administrator and reporting

  • Manage the fund administrator relationship: service levels, review of capital account statements, and escalations.
  • Deliver investor statements and quarterly reporting on sche
