About GameChanger
We believe in the life changing impact youth sports have on and off the field. Sports encourage leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence – important life lessons that have the power to propel our youth toward meaningful futures. We recognize that without coaches, parents, and volunteers, organized youth sports could not exist. By building the first and best place to experience the youth sports moments important to our community, we are helping families elevate the next generation through youth sports.
So if you love sports and their community building potential, or building cool products is your sport, GameChanger is the team for you. We are a remote first, dynamic tech company based in New York City, and we are solving some of the biggest challenges in youth sports today.
The Position
Our Basketball engineering organization is building and scaling the products that will help GameChanger grow in the most-played youth sport in the country. Within that org, the Coverage team owns the core experience of getting every game onto the platform: scorekeeping, live video capture, and the coaching tools built on top of that data.
As a Senior Engineering Manager on this team, you will lead a cross-functional group of engineers working across iOS, Android, and backend platforms, partnering closely with Product and Design to make covering a game as fast, reliable, and low-friction as possible. - Set and hold a consistent bar for engineering craft and system reliability, especially around live, in-game workflows where failures are highly visible to users on the sideline.
- Hire and onboard strong engineers, keeping the bar high on values alignment, skill fit, and AI fluency.
- Contribute to engineering culture and organizational effectiveness beyond your team through cross-team initiatives and helping shape how the broader org operates.
Who You Are
- 4+ years leading engineering teams and 6+ years of software development experience, with a track record of managing and growing engineering talent at all levels.
- You have technical depth in one or more areas of our stack, with enough breadth to engage credibly in architecture conversations, hold a consistent standard for quality and reliability, and maintain the trust of senior engineers.
