You’ll develop fluid-related mechanical hardware and packaging solutions for platforms including KV and LASR, with additional packaging needs for CONEX or VLS. This hands-on role spans CAD, prototyping, integration, and testing, with a focus on designs that meet performance and manufacturing needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fluid-system hardware and mechanical packaging for platform needs.
  • Support hardware design and integration for KV and LASR, and packaging for CONEX or VLS.
  • Develop CAD models, drawings, and interface definitions for mechanical assemblies.
  • Evaluate routing, packaging constraints, clearances, serviceability, and system interfaces.
  • Support prototyping, fit checks, integration, and hands-on testing.
  • Drive manufacturability, part selection, and tolerance stack-up decisions.
  • Contribute to test plans, technical documentation, and engineering reviews.
  • Support critical project milestones, including extended hours or weekends when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with a background in fluid systems, mechanical packaging, or both.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, such as NX or SolidWorks.
  • Experience developing and integrating mechanical hardware.
  • Ability to work through packaging constraints and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with flight hardware or aerospace fluid systems.
  • Experience packaging hardware for vehicle or launch-system integration.
  • Familiarity with fluid analysis, thermal management, or pressure-system design.
  • Experience with FEA or other engineering analysis tools.

Additional Requirements

  • Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
