An established automotive parts manufacturer is hiring a Quality Engineer who will own APQP and PPAP for the plant early in their career. You will work face to face with customers at process sign-offs and audits, something most engineers at this stage wait years for. The hiring team is ready to move quickly.

What you'll do

  • Run APQP through the manufacturing process and build and submit PPAP packages
  • Keep the plant's IATF 16949 certification in good standing and take part in audits
  • Lead 8D corrective actions on internal and customer quality issues
  • Write and maintain control plans and work instructions
  • Program and run the CMM for dimensional layouts
  • Serve as the quality contact for suppliers, and stand in for the Quality Manager with customers when needed

What you bring

  • Bachelor's in engineering or a related technical field (required)
  • 1 to 3 years of quality engineering in automotive or industrial manufacturing
  • Hands-on APQP and PPAP work: building packages, getting customer approval, keeping logs
  • IATF 16949 or TS 16949 experience, including audits
  • 8D and structured problem solving
  • SPC and GD&T knowledge, and comfort working directly with customers

Nice to have: CMM operation and programming.
