This is a high-ownership role for an engineer who moves fluidly between deep technical execution and cross-functional influence. This engineer builds AI-forward infrastructure that directly shapes how government services are delivered.

  • Design, build, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or others) that enable rapid, reliable feature delivery.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization and performance engineering across AWS and Azure services, balancing efficiency with reliability commitments.
  • Own the security posture of cloud infrastructure and partner with compliance teams on SOC2 and StateRamp adherence.
  • Establish and manage observability practices using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor.
  • Lead incident response and post-mortem processes with a focus on systemic improvement.
  • Serve as a cross-functional technical advisor to engineering, product, and security teams.
  • Translate business priorities into scalable infrastructure decisions.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, elevate technical standards, and build a culture of operational excellence.
