Job Description : We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer with strong backend engineering and automation skills to design, develop, and maintain backend systems that support DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and operations automation in Microsoft Azure.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about building reliable APIs, services, integrations, and automation workflows that improve deployment consistency, infrastructure management, monitoring, and operational efficiency across cloud-based environments.
This position requires someone who can work closely with IT operations, security, infrastructure, and application teams to modernize deployment processes, reduce manual effort, improve system reliability, and support scalable cloud operations through well-engineered automation and backend platform capabilities.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with backend development, Azure services, scripting and automation, source control, CI/CD tooling, infrastructure-as-code concepts, and secure software delivery practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure services used for backend integration and automation, such as App Service, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, and related platform services.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with observability, logging, and monitoring tools in cloud environments.
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments and collaborating closely with infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
- Experience implementing secure software delivery practices across development and deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with or hands-on experience using AI-powered productivity tools to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and work quality strongly preferred.
Pay Transparency: Pathstone’s expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $105,000 - $130,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
