Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting

Why We Have This Role

Qualtrics is looking for a proactive, collaborative Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting, based in our Provo office. Reporting to the Global Head of Accounting, you will own our technical accounting positions and external financial reporting. You’ll be the company’s authority on US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, and a key leader in our global close, consolidation, reporting, and annual audit. You’ll research complex transactions, write and update the accounting policies and memos behind them, and make sure our financial statements and disclosures are accurate, timely, and well supported. You’ll also streamline processes, help implement new systems to support growth, and communicate clearly with finance, business, and audit partners. Adaptability, high standards, and a positive approach matter here.

How You’ll Find Success

• You explain complex accounting in plain terms and influence stakeholders at every level, building trust across Finance, Sales, Legal, and Tax.
• You build the team by teaching, mentoring, and learning alongside others in Finance.
• You find efficiencies by automating accounting processes and developing new AI use cases.

• You’ll build leadership skills by serving as a trusted advisor to senior finance leadership.

• Serve as the company’s technical accounting lead. Research, analyze, and document positions on revenue recognition (ASC 606), business combinations, leases, stock-based compensation, debt, income taxes, and other US GAAP areas.
