About the role

The Samsara Tax Department strives to be a best-in-class tax function that manages core tax processes efficiently while continuously adding value across the business. We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Indirect Tax team and own day-to-day indirect tax compliance for North America (United States, Canada, and Mexico), manage relationships with our indirect tax advisors, and assist with indirect tax planning.

This role is the first contact for point-of-sale tax questions from across Samsara’s sales organization. You will own our internal tax ticket queue ensuring Account Executives, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and other business partners get clear, accurate, and timely answers to point-of-sale tax questions. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented, has a strong work ethic, is eager to learn, and can turn complex tax rules into concise, easy-to-understand guidance for non-tax audiences.

You will work closely with our Tax Technology and Operations team, external tax advisors, and Finance partners. This is a great opportunity to help shape how we scale and automate indirect tax at Samsara! This role reports to the Manager II, Tax Accounting

This is remote position open to candidates residing in the US except Alaska, Austin Metro, Boulder Metro, California, Chicago Metro, Connecticut, Dallas Metro, Denver Metro, Houston Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Seattle Metro, and Washington, D.C.
