About Workstreet
At Workstreet , we’re on an exciting journey to help businesses scale securely by designing and implementing cutting-edge security and compliance programs. As a fast-growing startup, we specialize in a wide range of GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) services that support frameworks across SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP. We empower companies to meet regulatory requirements and enhance their cybersecurity posture from day one.
The Opportunity
We're hiring a senior engineer to build the software and AI workflows that run Workstreet.
This is an AI-native engineering role. Nearly all of the code you ship will be written with AI. Your job is to understand systems deeply enough to direct that work: design the architecture, give agents the right context and constraints, and put the guardrails, reviews, and tests in place so that what ships is secure, reliable, and correct. Because you'll be working with AI, we care less about which languages and frameworks you've used and more about how well you understand the engineering concepts underneath them.
This is the first role of its kind here. We don't have a traditional product or engineering organization. You'll have substantial autonomy, work directly with the people using what you build, and help decide which problems to solve and how to solve them. The backlog is long, and we move fast.
We ship daily. You should be comfortable taking a well-scoped feature from idea to production in hours and owning what happens after it ships.
What You'll Do
- Architect, then direct. Design systems and features, break them into clear tasks, and guide AI agents to build them across interfaces, APIs, databases, integrations, and infrastructure.
- Build guardrails that make AI-written code trustworthy. Set up the testing, security review, and verification practices that let us move fast without compromising quality. That matters a lot at a security company.
- Turn business problems into useful software. Work with teammates to understand their workflows, define the problem, and ship something they can use. Improve it based on their feedback.
- Automate repetitive work. Find manual processes worth improving and build the tools, integrations, and AI workflows to improve them.
- Own your work in production. Make sound decisions about security, reliability, and maintenance. When something breaks, investigate it and fix it.
- Shape how we build. Define our technical approach, development practices, and use of AI as the tools and our needs evolve.
Who You Are
- You're all in on AI-driven development. You write code with AI as a matter of course, not as an occasional assist. You see it as the way software gets built now, and you're excited about what it makes possible.
- You think like an architect. You understand how components, data, and workflows fit together, and you can turn an ambiguous problem into a clear plan with the right context, constraints, and
